COMMISSIONS
I accept a limited number of commissions each year.
Commissioned work offers an opportunity to create a painting that holds the same sense of calm, restraint, and continuity as my studio practice, while responding to a particular space or scale. All commissions sit clearly within the visual language of my existing work; I do not produce one-off styles or imagery outside this framework.

WHAT TO EXPECT
A commission begins with conversation rather than specification. We discuss scale, orientation, and the atmosphere you are drawn to within my work. Colour, movement, and tone are explored through my established palette and process, allowing the painting to unfold naturally rather than be predetermined.
Each piece is developed slowly, through layered mark‑making and long observation. This pace is integral to the work and cannot be rushed.
FOR WHOM
Commissions are suited to those looking for a painting to live with over time — for homes, private collections, or quiet public spaces where calm and presence are valued. They are not appropriate for exact replication of previous works.

FAQ's
Can I request a specific painting or exact copy of an existing work?
No. Commissions are not replicas of previous paintings. Each work is created within my established visual language but allowed to develop naturally through the process.
Can I choose the colours?
Yes- to a degree. You may respond to the palette and atmosphere within my existing work, but I do not work to precise colour matching. Colour decisions are integral to the emotional balance of the painting.
How involved am I in the process?
We discuss scale, orientation, and the feeling you are drawn to at the outset. After that, I work independently. Progress images are not usually shared, as the paintings evolve through layered stages. However, you will get a proof when the work is complete, before it has been sent.
How long does a commission take?
Most commissions take between 8–12 weeks from the agreed start date. Timelines are confirmed in advance and reflect the pace required for the work.
What sizes are available?
Commissions are available in selected sizes only. This ensures the work remains consistent with my studio practice. This will be discussed in the initial consultation.
What is the payment process?
A non-refundable deposit secures your place in my commission schedule, with the balance due on completion prior to delivery.
Do you accept international commissions?
Yes. I work with collectors internationally and can arrange professional shipping.
Is a commission right for me?
Commissions suit those looking for a painting to live with over time — work that offers calm, continuity, and presence rather than immediate impact.
