Evening Light was inspired by those fleeting moments when daylight lingers on the water before giving way to dusk. Rather than depicting a specific coastline, the painting seeks to preserve the atmosphere of that final glow—the calm, warmth and quiet beauty that settles over the ocean at the close of the day.

The last light of the day has always fascinated me.
It is softer than morning light, quieter than midday and filled with a sense of gentle closure. Standing beside the sea at sunset, I often feel as though time itself has slowed, allowing the landscape to breathe before darkness arrives.
When I painted Evening Light, I wanted to capture that feeling rather than a particular place—the sense of stillness, warmth and quiet gratitude that arrives when the day comes gently to an end.
My hope is that Evening Light becomes a quiet sanctuary within the home—a painting that offers a moment of pause, softens the atmosphere of a room and reminds us that some of life's most beautiful moments are also its most fleeting.
