The sea has always reminded me that nothing remains still for long.
The tide rises and falls, storms pass and calm returns, while every wave carries within it the promise of another to follow. There is something deeply reassuring in that endless rhythm—a reminder that change is natural and that even after uncertainty, light always finds its way back to the water.
When I painted Rise, I wanted to capture that feeling of quiet renewal. Not dramatic power, but gentle resilience. The quiet courage found in beginning again, carried forward by the endless movement of the sea.
For me, it is a painting about hope.
