The sea is never truly still.

Surge was inspired by that feeling.

I have always been fascinated by the way the sea gathers itself.

There is a moment before every wave when movement is almost invisible, yet immense energy is already building beneath the surface. It reminds me that the greatest transformations in life often begin quietly, long before they can be seen.

When I painted Surge, I wanted to capture that invisible momentum—the sense of hope, renewal and quiet determination carried within the rhythm of the tide. The sea never stops moving, never stops changing and never stops returning.

For me, it is a reminder that we too are always capable of moving forward.
