I often find that the most peaceful moments by the sea are not dramatic at all. They exist in the quiet spaces between waves, between changing weather and between thoughts. This painting is my attempt to hold onto that feeling and bring it into everyday life.
As daylight moves across its textured surface, subtle layers of colour emerge and recede, allowing the painting to feel different from morning to evening.
