There are certain places that never truly leave us.

Lulworth Cove has always been one of them for me. Its stillness, its changing light and the feeling of being sheltered by the landscape create a sense of belonging that is difficult to explain but impossible to forget.

When I painted Belonging – Lulworth Cove, I wasn't trying to capture every detail of the coastline. I wanted to preserve the feeling of returning to a place that feels familiar, comforting and timeless—a place where the sea gently reminds us that we are part of something far greater than ourselves.

It is a painting about finding home in nature.

My hope is that Belonging – Lulworth Cove becomes a quiet refuge within the home—a painting that offers comfort, invites reflection and serves as a gentle reminder that the places we love never truly leave us. They simply become part of who we are.
